My thoughts on…

– People who feed on gossip? they’re nothing but a tiny little footnote on my epic
– Cosmic bliss? I’ve experienced it before, & it’s very hard to describe that feeling with words, but i’ll try: it’s when you go to sleep with a fluttering heart that beats with happiness,’s when you burst out in laughter for no apparent reason,’s that feeling where everything feels right, where you don’t have to worry about tomorrow, or yesterday, ..where you feel safe & you know you’re doing the best you can.
– Wealth? Experience, Intellect.
– Knowledge? The more difficult the journey is, the greater the depth of the purification
– Smart women who play dumb? I pitty them, & I feel my IQ drops a few points everytime I find myself around them
– Dumb women? Soooooo not hot *puke*
– Dumb men? Even worse. *double puke*
– Prince Charming? A man who is strong, confident, & bright. A man filled with curiosity about life, ..a man who isn’t afraid to learn from his mistakes
– Marriage for the sake of having children? Sorry. My womb will never be a 9-months lodge for the specimen of half-men

By The River Piedra, I Sat Down & Wept

Quotes I liked from reading “By The River Piedra, I Sat Down & Wept” by Paulo Coelho. The book is beautifully written, very poetic and touches your soul.

“We will only understand the miracle of life fully when we allow the unexpected to happen.”

“Joy is sometimes a blessing, but it is often a conquest, Our magic moment helps us to change and sends us off in search of our dreams. Yes, we are going to suffer, we will have difficult times, and we will experience many disappointments- but all of this is transitory; it leaves no permanent mark, And one day we will look back with pride and faith at the journey we have taken”

“Pitiful is the person who is afraid of taking risks”

“Love can only survive when the hope exists that you will be able to win over the person you desire. Anything else is a fantasy”

“Love is much like a dam: if you allow a tiny crack to form through which only a trickle of water can pass, that trickle will quickly bring down the whole structure, and soon no one will be able to control the force of the current”

“Life takes us by surprise and orders us to move toward the unknown-even when we don’t want to and when we think we don’t need to”

“I’ve been in love before. It’s like a narcotic. At first it brings the euphoria of complete surrender. The next day, you want more. You’re not addicted yet, but you like the sensation, and you think you can still control things. You think about the person you love for two minutes, and forget them for three hours.
But then you get used to that person, and you begin to be completely dependent on them. Now you think about him for three hours and forget him for two minutes. If he’s not there, you feel like an addict who can’t get a fix. And just as addicts steal and humiliate themselves to get what they need, you’re willing to do anything for love.”

“Love is always new. Regardless of whether we love once, twice, or a dozen times in our life, we always face a brand-new situation. Love can consign us to hell or paradise, but it always takes us somewhere. We simply have to accept it, because it is what nourishes our existence. If we reject it, we die of hunger, because we lack the courage to stretch out a hand and pluck the fruit from the branches of the tree of life. We have to take love where we find it, even if that means hours, days, weeks of disappointment and sadness.”

“Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worst kind of suffering.”

“When we look for love courageously, it reveals itself, and we wind up attracting even more love. If one person really wants us, everyone does. But if we’re alone, we become even more alone. Life is strange.”

“We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation”

“It’s easy to suffer because you love a person, or the world, or your son. That’s the kind of suffering that you accept as a part of life; it’s a noble, grand sort of suffering. It’s easy to suffer for a cause or a mission; this ennobles the heart of the person suffering.
But how to explain suffering because of a man? It’s not explainable. With that kind of suffering, a person feels as if they’re in hell, because there is no nobility, no greatness-only misery.”

– Never to make the same mistake twice
– Never to acknowledge the existence of comme si comme ca mannered men, sorry, but social etiquette is compulsory for both genders
– If you’re comfortable in your skin, there’s no reason to let anyone influence that comfort negatively
– Never to leave home without a camera, & baby wipes
– Never be a doormat to anyone. Not that I ever was, quite the contrary actually, but it bugs the helllll out of me to see weak people who take rubbish from others
– Never to lose my innocence, no matter what the world dished out my way..
– Never to let finance take over my world, slowly morphing me into a dull, boring, beer-belly person who does nothing but number crunching {for some reason that i cannot comprehend, this is the image i have in mind of pure-finance people lol}

My Weekend 101

The rules for any given weekend are the following:

  1. Sleep as much as you can and don’t give a rat’s feces to anything else.
  2. Eat and ruin whatever diet you’re following, it’s time to pamper yourself.
  3. Window shop till I actually find something I like & see if it’s worth to add to my visa.
  4. Attempt to try a new restaurant or a new dish in a restaurant you already go out to. Helps educate your sensitive food palate.
  5. Whatever you do, don’t think about work.
  6. Read if you love reading, Write if you love writing.
  7. Play games if you love playing games.
  8. Listen to music & just relax lying down reading a magazine.
  9. Spoil yourself until you’re a rotten little apple.
  10. Dread that it will soon be over!

That’s basically what I like to do every weekend and what I like done, sometimes I get a chance to design things and think about a few items but other times nah I prefer to pamper myself. So what did I do this weekend?

Thursday came back from Montréal and went to bed at 5:30am then went to my college orientation at 11am getting only 4 1/2 hrs sleep. I did what I had to do, came back home & slept for work the next day at 7am for 6 hours which felt more of a nap than heaven and bliss.

Saturday which is today I went to work as usual. I was invited for lunch with a friend but we decided to leave it for another day because it took me forever to head back home because of the CNE going on. But anyways that was over and done with and now I want to prepare myself for an early night in…lol, this is at 3am!

So, Doodles!
