The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.
Did you say it? I love you. I don’t ever want to live without you. You changed my life.
Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it. But every now and then, look around. Drink it in. Cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow.
- That you’ll love me. Even when you hate me.
- No running. Ever. Nobody walks out. No matter what happens.
- That we’ll take care of each other. Even when we’re old, smelly & senile.
- And if I get alzheimer’s and forget you. You’ll remind me who I am. Everyday.
- This is forever
I spend a lot of time focusing on my future. Planning it. Working toward it. But at some point, I started to realize that my life is happening now. Not after college. Not after I get a promotion. Right now. This is it. It’s here. Blink. And you’ll miss it.
When something begins, you generally have no idea how it’s going to end. We spend our whole lives worrying about the future. Planning for the future. Trying to predict the future. And figuring it out will somehow cushion the blow. But the future is always changing. The future is the home of our deepest fears. And our wildest hopes. But one thing is certain, when it finally reveals itself, the future is never the way we imagined it.
The joy. It comes around rarely, so rarely…we forget it can happen. And that’s why we do what we do. The joy.
You know what to do. Yes, you do. You’re just scared to do it. This back and forth is just fear. But you’ve already made this decision. You’ve made it the day you decided to fight this thing. Just look what you started & look where you are now. Now you’re this incredible person. You’re a doer remember? You know exactly what you have to do.
